Clowning Around – Circus coming to Ishpeming
Culpepper & Merriweather Circus, coming to Al Quaal Thursday, July 10, 5:30 p.m. & 7:30 p.m.
There was a lot of clowning around today in Ishpeming as kids were treated to a special pre–circus performance by Skeeter the clown. Ishpeming Firefighters are bringing the heat to Al Quaal next Thursday as they are sponsoring the Culpepper & Merriweather Circus performance. Kids were given a personal performance from Skeeter, were able to take personal photos and got to do a bit of clowning around themselves. Advance discount tickets are on sale now at various Ishpeming retailers.
“The really big show happens at 5:30 circus morning when all of you are invited out to help us raise the big top off. Big top is a name for the circus tent, we do a free one hour tour as we put the big tent up. You get to meet our lions and tigers circus morning, so until then we thank you for your time and attention and we’ll see you at the circus, said Skeeter, the clown, Culpepper & Merriweather Circus.
Kids were treated to a fire truck tour as all proceeds from the Circus go to the Ishpeming Firefighters safety school program. There will be two shows at the Al Quaal Recreation Center on Thursday, July 10 at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30p.m.
