Circus Thrills hit the U.P.

Thrills, chills and laughter are hitting the U.P. this week.

The circus is in town amazing kids young and old to standing room only crowds. Walker International circus boasts four generations of renowned animal acts, performances and crowd pleasers that have been passed down over the years.

Kids and parents were treated to animal tricks, acrobatic stunts, clown acts as well as snake charming. Traditional favorites like pony rides, face painting, cotton candy were just some of the many highlights thrown into the mix.

“I like to go to the Circus because it’s a lot of fun and you get to see a lot of new things each year.”

“I saw someone hang from a rope upside down and do tricks, it was cool.  I saw a lot of neat stuff.”

The show is in Escanaba tonight and will be in Ironwood tomorrow with two 90-minute performances each day at 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Doors open an hour before each show for face painting and other entertainment.
