Church holds 24th annual craft show

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Marquette held their 24th annual International Fair Trade Craft Show and Gift Market Friday night.

Jewelry, Christmas ornaments, scarves and pottery were some of the gifts to buy.  People could also by alternative gifts, which are ways for someone to donate money as a gift in someone’s name.  All money from alternative gifts go to charitable organizations.

Last year, the craft show and gift market raised over $16,000.

Crafts and gifts are bought from artists and vendors around the world, and money raised form purchases go back to those communities.

St. Paul’s also gives back to the local community.  Money from a bread sale will go to Harbor House, and money from a bake sale will go to Camp New Day.

The craft show and gift market is also open Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
