Chili Fundraiser for Jim Pennell
It was an eye–opening demonstration of community gratitude on display in Marquette this evening.
The Jim Pennell chili cook-off fundraiser was held to help Jim pay for an emergency eye surgery in Green Bay, and his travel expenses. It also showed what an impact he has had on the community.
Jim is one half of the Marquette musical duo ‘Jim and Ray’ and is a long–time technical director at Kaufman Auditorium.
Dinner, a silent auction and on–stage entertainment helped raise money for Pennell’s expenses. They made 20 gallons of chili for the fundraiser tonight.
