Chili Cook-Off Fundraiser
You may know him as half of the popular Marquette music duo Jim and Ray.
His other gig is as the part–time technical director at Kaufman Auditorium.
About six weeks ago, Jim Pennell had emergency eye surgery in green bay.
To help out with his medical costs and travel expenses, the community has stepped up to help out.
A chili cook–off fundraiser will take place tomorrow night at Graveraet School.
The evening will include a silent auction during and after the dinner, plus special entertainment will begin at 7 pm.
Dozens of musical acts will take the stage at Kaufman Auditorium, including members of the Marquette Area Public Schools fine arts department.
While the musical tribute to Jim Pennell starts at 7, dinner gets underway at 5 pm.
Tickets are $10.
A $5 donation for children is suggested.
Tickets are being sold at each MAPS building.
