“Celebration of Learning” at NMU

Student research, creative works and academic service was on display at Northern Michigan University Thursday.

It is part of the 18th annual “Celebration of  Learning.”  Several dozen undergraduate and graduate students showcased their work and gave presentations.

The morning kicked off with an opening ceremony that honored several students with awards for their research and findings.

Judging of the posters took place Wednesday, where first, second and third place ribbons were awarded in three categories:  undergraduate, graduate and group.

Other topics included “Fishing in Freshwater”, “Human Impact on the Eben Ice Caves,” and “Indigenous Foods Diet of the Great Lakes”.
