Celebrating Halloween in Harvey
Kids of all ages–and even some adults–were ready to continue celebrating Halloween after trick-or-treating.
Silver Creek Church was packed full of kids in costumes Thursday for the church’s annual Harvest Party. There were plenty of carnival games, bags of popcorn–and of course–candy for the kids to enjoy.
The Harvest Party is one event that brings members and non–members of the church together.
“My favorite part is being able to interact with the community and help to take the church ‘outside’ of the doors of the church if you will,” Silver Creek Church Pastor Kevin Taylor said. “It’s our opportunity to take the church to the community.”
“(The Harvest Party) is a way to serve families right here in our community, it gives them an opportunity to bring their kids into a real safe environment and have a great time.”
Taylor added Silver Creek loves putting on the party every year and that kids always have a great time.
