Car v. House Update

THE NAME AND CONDITION OF THE WOMAN WHO CRASHED HER VEHICLE INTO AN ISHPEMING HOME THURSDAY HAVE BEEN RELEASED.

73 YEAR OLD CHRISTINE DONEY IS IN FAIR CONDITION AT BELL MEMORIAL HOSPITAL TONIGHT AFTER LOSING CONSCIOUSNESS AT THE WHEEL OF HER VEHICLE.

DONEY WAS DRIVING HER FORD PICK–UP TRUCK SOUTH ON THIRD STREET IN ISHPEMING AT APPROXIMATELY 12–30 THURSDAY AFTERNOON.

WHEN SHE SUFFERED A MEDICAL EMERGENCY CAUSING HER TO BECOME UNCONSCIOUS.

SHE CRASHED INTO SEVERAL OBJECTS INCLUDING A SIGN, A GARAGE, AND THE FRONT STEPS OF 510 EAST EMPIRE STREET.

SHE DROVE THROUGH 2 FENCES, AND SLAMMED INTO AND SPUN A PARKED CAR.

THE PICKUP CONTINUED INTO THE BACK OF THE HOUSE AT 205 VINE STREET COMING TO A REST ON THE BACK PORCH.

THE HOUSE HAD STRUCTURAL DAMAGE, BUT NO ONE WAS HOME AT THE TIME OF THE CRASH.

NO CITATIONS HAVE BEEN ISSUED AT THIS TIME THE ACCIDENT IS STILL UNDER INVESTIGATION.

THE CITY OF ISHPEMING POLICE WERE ASSISTED AT THE SCENE BY THE ISHPEMING FIRE DEPARTMENT.
