Update 6:25 p.m.

A 54-year-old Illinois man has been ticketed after his truck hit the outside of the Family Video store in Marquette this evening.  Three employees received minor injuries.

Marquette Police say it appears the man  hit the gas pedal instead of the brake.

Family Video employees speak with a Marquette City Police Officer about the incident.

The incident occurred at about 5:30 p.m. as the man and his 19-year-old son were pulling into a parking place in front of the store.

The man’s vehicle had very little damage. The Family Video building at the corner of McClellan Avenue and West Washington Street has evidence of the impact.  When the vehicle hit the building, it pushed a shelving unit into an employee.  Two others received minor injuries from items falling onto or being knocked into them.
