Car-Bus accident in Iron Mountain
One man was injured in an accident involving a school bus in Iron Mountain Friday afternoon.
The Iron Mountain Police Department say the accident happened at the intersection of Woodward and Carpenter Avenues at around 1:30 p.m.
An 87-year-old man was driving his car northbound on Carpenter Avenue, and attempted turning westbound onto Woodward Avenue. He turned the car into the path of the school bus.
The 49-year-old male driver of the school bus and three passengers were not injured.
The 87-year-old man was transported to Dickinson County Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
The Iron Mountain Police Department were assisted by the Kingsford Public Safety Department and the Beacon Ambulance. The accident remains under investigation.
