Car accident sends three people to the hospital

IRON MOUNTAIN — Three people were taken to the hospital after a two–car accident today in Dickinson County.

Just before 12 p.m., the Iron Mountain Police Department responded to the intersection of US–2 and Ridgeview Drive.

Police say that a vehicle driven by a 59–year–old man from Pembine, Wisc. attempted to make a left turn out of the K–Mart Plaza, when he collided with a vehicle traveling eastbound. A 63–year–old woman from Crystal Falls and a passenger in that car were both taken to the hospital.

There’s no word tonight on all three of their injuries and the accident remains under investigation.
