Car accident sends three people to the hospital

ISHPEMING — Three people were taken to the hospital after a two–car accident this afternoon in Ishpeming.

Just after 1:30 p.m, police were dispatched to US–41 and North Road. A silver Pontiac Vibe attempted to turn left to go east on US–41.  That vehicle was hit by an MDOT pickup headed west.

The Pontiac Vibe had two kids in the car. Both of the kids, along with the driver, were transported to U.P. Health System Bell for treatment of minor injuries.

Both vehicles sustained front–end damage and were towed from the scene.
