Brownfield Hires Executive Director

THE MARQUETTE CITY BROWNFIELD REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY BOARD HAS HIRED ITS FIRST EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR.

MARQUETTE RESIDENT, SHERI DAVIE, WILL PROVIDE ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT AND DIRECTION FOR THE AUTHORITY.

DAVIE RECENTLY RETIRED AFTER TEN YEARS OF SERVICE AS THE REGIONAL MANAGER OF THE UPPER PENINSULA OFFICE OF U.S. SENATOR STABENOW.

SHE HAS EXPERIENCE AS A TOWNSHIP TRUSTEE SERVING ON A BROWNFIELD COMMITTEE AT A FORMER MILITARY BASE.

SHE WAS ALSO APPOINTED TO SERVE ON THE FORMER KINCHELOE AIR FORCE BASE RESTORATION ADVISORY BOARD (RAB) UNDER THE DIRECTION OF THE U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS

THE CITY OF MARQUETTE BROWNFIELD REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY WAS ESTABLISHED SEPTEMBER 8, 1997. THE PURPOSE IS TO FACILITATE AND IMPLEMENT BROWNFIELD PLANS DESIGNATING TREATMENT OF BROWNFIELD REDEVELOPMENT ZONES BY PROMOTING REVITALIZATION OF ENVIRONMENTALLY DISTRESSED AREAS
