Brewers deal Greinke to Angels
Milwaukee Brewers GM Doug Melvin delivered on his promise today, trading starting pitcher Zack Greinke before next weeks trade deadline to the Los Angeles Angels for three of the Angels top prospects; shortstop Jean Segura and AA right handers Ariel Pena and John Hellweg.
Greinke was with the Brewers since the end of 2010, when Milwaukee made a six player deal with the Kansas City Royals to acquire him.
In 21 starts this season, Greinke is 9-3 with a 2.44 ERA in 123 IP; he is set to become a free-agent at the end of the season.
