Brewers Braun named NL MVP

Milwaukee Brewers left fielder Ryan Braun was named the National League’s Movst Valuable player today, becoming the first Brewer to win the award since Robin Yount won it in 1989.

The 28-year old put up some impressive numbers this season: .332 AVG, 33 HR, 111 RBI, 33 SB and had 77 extra base hits, which also led the NL.

Braun received 20 of the 32 first place votes, and accumulated 388 points overall. Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp finished 2nd in the voting, with 332 points.
