Break-In Leads to Outstanding Warrants Arrest

A break-in at a Marquette home ends with the arrest of someone the state police were looking for.

City police say it happened yesterday afternoon.

They say they learned yesterday afternoon that Robert Jurasin was staying in a home on Fitch Avenue.

2 officers went to the house to arrest him.

Police say he answered the door when one of them knocked.

He broke away from that officer after a struggle, but the other officer caught Jurasin and tased him.

Both Jurasin and the officer he struggled with were treated for minor injuries.

Jurasin’s outstanding state police warrants were for resisting or obstructing an officer, and delivery or manufacture of an illegal substance.

He’s in the Marquette County Jail on those charges and a new resisting arrest charge.

His bond is $16,000.
