Blood Donations Needed

The American Red Cross continues to encourage blood donations, especially in light of the ‘Hurricane turned Super Storm Sandy’ disaster.

Donations can be made nationwide.  In the Marquette, Escanaba, Iron Mountain and Sault Ste. Marie area, the collection facilities are operated by the U.P. Regional Blood Center, a service of Marquette General Hospital.

The blood bank has had a number of critical-need calls for various blood types in recent months.
