Blake earns GLIAC weekly nod

HOUGHTON, Mich. — Michigan Tech’s Danielle Blake has been named GLIAC Women’s Basketball North Division Player of the Week for her efforts in two Huskies wins last weekend. She averaged 17.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 4.5 blocks while shooting 67 percent in the two victories.

Blake posted her third double-double of the season with 15 points and 10 rebounds vs. Northwood (Jan. 29) while tying the school record for blocks in a game (7). The junior forward followed that up with 19 points and nine boards vs. Lake Superior State (Jan. 31).

A two-time GLIAC Player of the Week (Nov. 24 was the other), Blake leads the Huskies in both scoring (12.4) and rebounding (7.3) on the season.
