Black helicopter circling Marquette raises suspicion in the community

A black helicopter that has been seen circling the Marquette area for the past three days is raising concerns in the community.

Eyewitnesses report seeing the chopper around the same time everyday, from 2:30 to 5:00 p.m.

Marquette City Police were under the impression that it was a National Guard training exercise, but officials in Ishpeming say they know nothing of the sort. Some former members of the military point to what they believe are triple stabilizers in the back, indicating that it may be a UH-72 Lakota – the U.S. Military’s newest light utility helicopter.

ABC 10 will continue to investigate the incident in the days to come.
