Black Friday Spells Shopping Frenzy

With many area stores opening up shop as early as 4am, shops were packed with people looking to get the most for their money.

Friends and families were searching through the chaos for deals on whatever they need this holiday season.

The common goal linking shoppers on Black Friday was getting the most out of a buck.

Crowds flowed in and out of the Westwood Mall in Marquette Township, and everyone was in search of a big deal.

While today was a first for some shoppers, Black Friday veterans decided on more reasonable mid-morning hours to come out and bargain-hunt.

Although Black Friday sales ended tonight, many stores still have after-Thanksgiving sales for the rest of the weekend in hopes of boosting the economy with holiday money.

Retailers can make as much as 15% of their total revenue for the year on just this one day.
