POWERS — North Central’s Dawson Bilski has made his decision on where he wants to play his college ball.

Bilski will take his talents to the Copper Country next fall. The Jets sharpshooting senior announced his decision earlier today on Twitter and he talked with ABC 10 about what went into his choice.

“A couple weeks ago, I went up for a visit there and they showed me around campus. The education that they have up there. They have all the great basketball programs of the past ten years. I thought it would be a perfect fit for me. I just went with my gut and I talked to my family about it and we thought it was the perfect place for me to go,” said Bilski.

Bilski has been a big part of North Central’s back to back state championships in Class D. He says the best part of the decision was knowing that he doesn’t have to go too far from home.

“Especially for the program that I want to go into, they have a really good program for it. And being able to stay nice and close to home, it helps a lot. I don’t know how to explain it. It’s just perfect,” Bilski said.

Bilski was an All–State Class D Third Team selection as well as First Team All–U.P. He will major in wildlife management.
