GWINN — Bikers and kids: not a combination you come across very often.

But, Tuesday night the two came together for a good cause. Tuesday was the Up North Lodge’s annual Bike Night fundraiser for the Upper Peninsula Children’s museum.

“Up North Lodge is a very wonderful place, they gather all kinds of people. It encourages people to get out on their motorcycles and come and have a great evening, and great food and of course, tons and tons of prizes,” said Nheena Weyer Ittner, Director of the Children’s Museum.

Patrons were able to bid on prizes throughout the night to help raise money for the Museum. But, it’s not just about the money.

“It’s also very fun because lots of people come and lots of people are riding motor cycles. Do you know that biker people are really, really nice people?” Ittner added.

The event was sponsored by Riverside Auto Mall and Great Lakes Wine and Spirits.
