Benishek Jobs Forum at NMU
Members of both the academic and business worlds met with Congressman Dan Benishek at Northern Michigan University this morning.
A round table discussion was held about the correlation between education and creating jobs in the U.P.
A six–member panel joined Benishek to address the subject of U.P. jobs and the education required to land those jobs.
Today’s discussion gave each side a chance to speak out.
Benishek hopes discussions like these can lead to new ideas to help employ younger generations here in the U.P.
He says he’ll hold another round table discussion at Michigan Tech sometime in the next month or two on the same topic.
