Bank Transfer Day Next Weekend
The Occupy Wall Street protest movement has attracted a great deal of press recently around the country.
A social-media-inspired event next weekend hasn’t received as much.
It’s called Bank Transfer Day, and its goal is to mark next Saturday, November 5th, as a day to move money from large banks to smaller institutions or to credit unions.
A 27-year-old California art gallery owner got the idea after what she says was years of mistreatment by a large, national bank.
So what may happen locally as a result of that?
