Baby Boom & Beyond Health Expo
Area elders stop by the YMCA of Marquette County to learn more about the health issues that affect them the most.
It’s a free health expo at the Marquette Y called ‘Baby Boomers & Beyond’.
The Y, the U.P. chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association and the Marquette County Community Foundation got together to put it on.
The idea is to teach the baby boom generation healthy cooking and exercises anyone can do around the house.
More than 30 area vendors and speakers were on hand to talk about how to stay healthy at an advanced age, as well identifying the early warning signs of Alzheimer’s.
The closer one gets to age 65, the higher the probability of getting diagnosed with the disease.
