Author Visits Area School

Imagination can be found far and wide in the central U.P. for the next few days.

The annual Young Authors conference is taking place now through Thursday.

California–based children’s author Marissa Moss is the featured author.

And she visited Aspen Ridge School in Ishpeming Township this afternoon.

The idea of the conference is to show kids how fun writing can be.

And moss helped show the kids that by helping them compose their own story.

Moss has written five acclaimed series of children’s books, including Amelia’s Notebook and Daphne’s Diaries.

Her books all include original artwork of hers as well.

Moss is also giving a free presentation at Marquette’s the Peter White Public Library at 6:30 tomorrow night.

And she’s doing a book signing as part of that presentation.
