ATV collides with car
HOUGHTON COUNTY — An ATV collided with a car Wednesday afternoon in Houghton County.
Around 4 p.m., the Houghton County Sheriff’s Office responded to the accident on M-203 just north of Christiansen Lane. Police say that a 2014 Polaris Ranger driven by Michael Oja of Hancock Township attempted to cross M-203, when he crossed into the path of a southbound Chevy Cavalier driven by 20-year-old Broynwn Nettell of Atlantic Mine.
Nettell hit the passenger side of Oja’s vehicle, causing the ATV to roll on its side. Oja was ejected from the vehicle, but was injured. Nettell sought his own medical attention.
Oja was ticketed for failing to yield the right of way.
