ATV accident in Marquette Co.
Two teenagers were injured Monday evening following an ATV accident in Marquette County. The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office says the accident happened on the power line just north of Kirkpatrick Avenue in Palmer just before 7 p.m.
Authorities say that the driver, a 13–year–old girl from Palmer, and her passenger, a 13–year–old girl from Ishpeming were traveling westbound along the power line when they struck an embankment that was hidden by tall grass.
The driver’s father, who was at the scene, was able to lift the ATV off of the two girls and called 911. Both girls were taken to Marquette General Hospital for treatment of non–life threatening injuries. The girls were later released to their parents. Richmond Township EMS and Fire 181 and Bell Memorial EMS 141 assisted at the scene.
