A man in the western U.P. is scheduled to appear for a preliminary exam august 30th.
He’s charged with attempted homicide from a domestic violence incident in Iron River Township on August 7th.
34-year-old Arne Maki was arraigned in Iron County District Court.
State Police from the Iron River Post responded to a 911 call of shots fired.
When troopers arrived at the scene, Maki was gone.
They say both Maki and a victim had minor injuries.
Maki was arrested the next day in Wisconsin and then extradited back across the state line.
Maki is charged with 15 counts, including 2 counts of attempted murder.
He’s also charged with unlawful imprisonment, armed robbery and assault with a dangerous weapon.
Police say the investigation is continuing.
