Attempted Kidnapping Suspect in Court
The man accused of approaching a 12-year-old girl last week in Munising was in court today.
40-year-old Mohamed El Fectali had a preliminary exam in 93th District Court.
He’s charged with attempted kidnapping and enticing a child for immoral purposes.
He’s from Canada and holds both Canadian and Moroccan citizenship.
According to State Police in Munising, El Fectali attempted to entice a 12-year-old girl into his vehicle.
Police say the girl got scared and ran home to tell her parents.
Her parents called police.
State Police from the Munising Detachment located the suspect driving near Seney.
He is scheduled to be arraigned in Circuit Court on Monday.
