Artists, instructors wanted for MACC’s 2015 seasons

MARQUETTE — If you are an artist in the Marquette area, the city’s arts and culture center may have the perfect opportunity for you show off your skills.

The Marquette Arts and Culture Center is looking for instructors, musicians, and artists to schedule workshops, performances, and exhibits for the 2015 Winter and Spring seasons.

“We have lots of different opportunities, and definitely we would like artists to come share their skill set with the community (and we’re) looking for artists to teach workshops,” MACC community services manager Tiina Harris said.  “We do ask that you have previous teaching experience, so please, if you’re an artist out there, figure out what we’ve got to offer you.  We really want to get your work out there, let people know what you’re doing and celebrate your work.”

If you’re interested in hosting a workshop or displaying artwork, or want more information, stop into the MACC in the lower level of the Peter White Public Library or give them a call at (906) 228-0472.
