Art exhibit celebrates the UP’s winter climate

MARQUETTE — While you may be tired of shoveling snow and chilly temperatures, winter time is still a big artistic inspiration in the UP.

That’s why the Peter White Library is hosting the annual Winter Charm exhibit. The display is curated by the Lake Superior Art Association and celebrates the beauty of the winter climate in the area.

“Winter Charm is great because it’s a combination of professional artists and people that are just starting out, amateurs, like you say. It’s an opportunity for them to interact with each other and interact with some pretty amazing artists,” said Tiina Harris, City of Marquette Arts and Culture Manager.

The exhibit isn’t juried and anyone over sixteen is welcome to join, using any medium. If you’d like to visit yourself, Winter Charm will be on display in the Huron Mountain Club Gallery until February 27th
