Armed robbery suspects arraigned
MARQUETTE — An armed robbery attempt in Marquette lands three men in jail and their arraignments took place this morning.
Eighteen, year old Nasir Jones, 22 year old Aiseah Achesah and 21 year old Stephon Akins, all of Marquette are charged with armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery and felony firearms charges.
Marquette City Police officers were dispatched to a home on West Fair Avenue shortly after 8:30pm Wednesday. Police say the home is a medical marijuana operation. Witnesses reported seeing a black man wearing a hoodie and a ski mask, carrying a gun, attempting to enter a home. He did not gain entry and nothing was stolen.
Officers were able to locate the man and two others who were believed to be involved. Police found the alleged vehicle used and got a search warrant, where they found a loaded firearm, hoodies, and a ski mask. Jones, Achesah and Akins will all have a probable cause hearing on May 26th, 2015 with a preliminary hearing scheduled for June 1, 2015.
