April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month

LANSING — April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, and State officials are encouraging residents to take action if they suspect a child is in danger.

According to Attorney General Bill Schuette’s office, Michigan received 284 complaints that a child may have died due to possible abuse or neglect in 2015. Signs of neglect or abuse can include both physical and behavioral indicators such as unexplained bruises or withdrawn and aggressive behavior extremes.
