Allouez Man’s Car Found at MN Casino

The car of the Allouez man reported missing last week has been found today.

It was in the parking lot of a casino in Grand Portage, Minnesota.

That’s along Lake Superior, about 5 miles from the Canadian border.

The Keweenaw County Sheriff’s Department says Marvin Manninen’s cranberry red 2008 Pontiac Vibe arrived at the Grand Portage Lodge and Casino Monday of last week and had been parked there ever since.

The Sheriff’s Department says they’re confident Manninen was the driver.

But they’re not sure why he would be in Minnesota.

The Cook County Sheriff’s Department in Minnesota is looking into his whereabouts.

The 66-year-old Manninen was last reported seen a week ago Monday in Calumet.

He’s said to be 5’8″ and to weigh about 130 pounds.

He has dark hair and is partially bald.

If you know anything more about where Manninen is, the Keweenaw County Sheriff’s Department is asking you to call them at 337-0528.
