Alleged hatchet strike bounds man to circuit court

A Kansas man accused of striking a man in the face with a hatchet has been bound over to circuit court.

19-year–old Timothy Heitz waived his preliminary exam today in Delta County District Court.

Officers with Escanaba Public Safety arrested Heitz on April 18th, after witnesses observed him beating up a man.

Heitz is facing two felony charges, assault with intent to commit murder and carrying a concealed weapon.

There’s no word yet on his arraignment date in circuit court.
