ESCANABA — An Escanaba man arrested for car theft entered a plea agreement in Delta County Circuit Court this morning.
Eighteen–year–old Jeffrey Schultz pleaded guilty to one count of unlawful driving away of a vehicle and one count of malicious destruction of property worth over $200 but less than $1,000. As a result of the agreement, a greater malicious destruction of property charge and a habitual offender status will be dropped.
Schultz was arrested by Escanaba Public Safety after they found him driving a vehicle stolen from a local business. He is scheduled for sentencing on February 22nd.
