Alcohol Involved in Pedestrian Accident

ALCOHOL WAS A FACTOR IN A CAR– PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENT THIS AFTERNOON IN THE WESTERN U–P.

IT HAPPENED AT THE INTERSECTION OF U–S 45 AND M–38 AROUND 2 CENTRAL TIME.

MICHIGAN STATE POLICE AT THE ONTONAGON DETACHMENT SAY AN INTOXICATED 70 YEAR OLD PEDESTRIAN STEPPED INTO TRAFFIC.

THE PEDESTRIAN WAS HIT BY A VEHICLE DRIVEN BY AN 84 YEAR OLD ONTONAGON WOMAN.

THE PEDESTRIAN WAS TAKEN TO ASPIRIUS ONTONAGON HOSPITAL FOR TREATMENT OF NON–LIFE THREATENING INJURIES…AND FOUND AT FAULT FOR THE ACCIDENT FOR BEING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL.
