Alcohol Investigated in Ironwood Crash
Police in Gogebic County say the Wakefield man who died 2 days ago in a head-on crash had been drinking.
The medical examiner is looking into how much alcohol 31-year-old Adrian Norabuena-Medina had in his system.
The Sheriff’s Department says test results won’t be back for several weeks.
The wreck happened shortly after 3:30 Central time Tuesday morning.
Norabuena-Medina drove across the center line on US-2 in Ironwood right in front of Grand View Health System.
He hit a logging truck head-on and died at the scene.
The truck driver wasn’t hurt.
Portions of the highway had to be closed for more than 5 hours to clear the debris.
