Adoptive Families Needed in the U.P.

More than six thousand michigan children are waiting for an adoptive family and the need for adoptive parents in the upper peninsula has never been greater.Teaching Family Homes of Upper Michigan hosted an informational forum on adoption tonight.

Giving community members a chance to learn about the criteria and process for becoming an adoptive parent.

Specialists say Providing the basic necessities is what’s most important in qualifying candidates. For those who don’t feel they are quite ready to adopt, foster care is another option.
