Accidental Delta County Shooting

A Tennessee man is in the hospital tonight after he’s accidentally shot in Delta County.

State troopers from the Gladstone post say it happened a little before 4:30pm yesterday in Maple Ridge Township.

40-year-old Richard Koski of Rockvale, Tennessee was on Lathrop Lane.

He was picking apples on private property with his father and his son.

That’s when a woman from Rock accidentally shot him.

Police say 65-year-old Sheila Norman was trying to shoot a partridge and didn’t realize Koski was in her line of fire.

Koski was taken to Marquette General for treatment.

He’s still there tonight, but there’s no word on how he’s doing.
