Academic award for NMU volleyball team
The Northern Michigan University volleyball team has received recognition for good work in the classroom.
The wildcats have received the Team Academic Award from the American Volleyball Coaches Association.
NMU is one of 69 NCAA Division II teams to receive the award, and it’s one of just 15 teams to do so six straight years.
The Team Academic Award honors collegiate and high school teams that maintain at least a 3.3 cumulative team grade point average.
