ABC 10 Exclusive: Ishpeming Football team departs for Detroit
If there was ever a way to properly send off the Ishpeming Football team, ‘Mother Nature’ provided it.
A cold and very wet snow fell down at Ishpeming High School this morning, as the Hematites loaded up their bus and headed for Detroit.
They will play Detroit Loyola tomorrow at 10am in the Division 7 Finals at Ford Field.
From the players, coaches, equipment and lots of food (cookies and suckers were among all the healthy stuff) the bus was loaded down.
Head Coach Jeff Olson told ABC 10 Sports that this afternoons scheduled practice at Gaylord H.S. is still on the agenda; however, they will practice inside instead of outside.
The bus departed from Ishpeming H.S. just after 6:53 am.
