ABC 10 / CW 5 wins seven at MABs

LANSING, Mich. — As part of the Michigan Association of Broadcasters, awards were presented during the 2014 Broadcast Excellence Awards Wednesday night. ABC 10 walked away with seven awards, competing against stations of sizes similar to ours.

We won Best Breaking News Story for a story we did about a cow with horns wandering through Ishpeming.
A story about a physician-turned-U.S. Foreign Service officer won Best Feature.
An In Focus episode about the Munising and Ishpeming football teams won Best News Special.
Another In Focus show about the U.P. deer herd won Best Special Interest Program.
And our website won an award for Best New Media.
We also received Merit awards in the Feature and Mini-Documentary or Series categories.
