Veterans take to the air for U.P. Honor Flight

ESCANABA — A group of Upper Peninsula Veterans took to the air this morning for a very special trip.

The U.P. Honor Flight left early for Washington, D.C., from the Delta County Airport in Escanaba. The day-long trip will allow participants to experience the nation’s capital. Tours of seven different monuments in the city are planned for the day. The Honor Flight is scheduled to return to Escanaba at 8:30 p.m.

This is the second Honor Flight trip for the U.P. this year; the first was held in May. Tune in to ABC 10 at 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to see more.
