SAY Theater pays tribute to youth theater director

MARQUETTE — Through the better part of 15 years, she built an arts program from the ground up. And now, Nikke Soni leaves her post behind for a relocation to Columbus, Ohio.

The Youth Theater Director of the Superior Arts Youth Theater was a major contributor to Marquette’s one and only year–round youth arts program.

“What started as teaching a little class in the library when I was an under–graduate has grown into the only year-round youth theater that we have in the entire Upper Peninsula,” reflected Soni, “And it’s just been such an honor to be a part of so many things within this community in the last 15 years.”

The performance, which took place at the Forest Roberts Theatre, was a special showcase featuring several local talents, production numbers, and a special send off to Soni.
