IRON MOUNTAIN — The Iron Mountain Police Department’s K9 unit recently received a big financial boost.

The U.P. Whitetails Association of Dickinson County made a $1,000 donation to the department for the continued care and maintenance of their dog, Falcon.

Falcon is a big part of the police department’s unit. He joined the police force last December.

Falcon works with his handler, Officer Adam Ray. He’s used by police for tracking, drug detection, and handler protection.

The acquisition of Falcon was made possible from money raised by the community.
