Remake of classic play coming to U.P.

ISHPEMING — In an age where everything is being remade; a classic school is putting on a classic play for theatre goers to enjoy.

Students at the Peterson Auditorium in Ishpeming are practicing taking their bows for “Bye Bye Birdie”, a classic musical set in 1958.

And yes, it is a remake.

The theme has been switched for the play to take place in Ishpeming; which differs from the original that took place in Sweet Apple, Ohio.

This show with its U.P. touch will take place on May 13th and 14th at 7:00p.m.; with another showing on the 15th at 2:00p.m.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students.
