HUD Grant awarded to U.P. Community

WASHINGTON D.C. — The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) announced Friday that $600,000 is headed to the Hannahville Indian Community to improve housing conditions.

The money that’s coming to the community is provided through the Indian Community Development Block Grant. A majority of the money will go to expand the Hannahville Indian Community wastewater treatment facility the tribe currently uses.

HUD has helped Indian Tribes since 1977.
