56th Annual Natural Resources Celebration
The Marquette County Conservation District plays an important role in the community and tonight the group held their 56th annual Natural Resources Celebration.
Each year the evening is used as a platform to conduct annual business and board elections but it also gives the district the chance to recognize organizations in the community who have made a difference.
Three Marquette County organizations received awards including the UpperPpeninsula Power Company for project of the year.
The Marquette Board of Light and Power was given the partnership award for their involvement in the districts annual tree and shrub sale.
And Starbucks received the friend of conservation award.
